Enugu Rangers will have their man Nwaodu Chukwudi to thank after his brace inspired them to a big home victory over Kano Pillars during their Nigeria Premier Football League game on Saturday.
Nwaodu Chukwudi found back of the net twice in the second period of the game as the Coal City outfit earned a commanding 4-1 win at the Awka City Stadium, footballrover reports
The game kicked off with a surprising thirteenth-minute first-half goal by Kano Pillars’ Mohammed Yakubu, stunning the home team’s supporters.
The first half concluded with a 1-1 tie when Godwin Obaje, a seasoned NPL star, equalized from the spot for Rangers International FC in the 19th minute.

In the second half, Isaac Saviour made it 2-1 in the 53rd minute. Nwaodu Chukwudi then stole the spotlight, netting two more goals for Rangers International FC in the 56th and 63rd minutes, completing his brace.
This triumphant 4-1 home win against Kano Pillars elevated Rangers International FC to 10 points after completing five rounds of matches this season, temporarily placing them at the top of the table.

Looking forward, the Flying Antelopes will be looking to face Lobi Stars next at the Lafia Township Stadium on Thursday.
In other NPFL matches, Bendel Insurance disappointed their home fans by playing out a goalless draw against Akwa United at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
Meanwhile, at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe Township, Gombe United narrowly defeated Plateau United with a lone goal from Sadiq Shuaibu, who later received a red card, reducing Gombe to ten men.
