Niger Tornadoes has proudly announced the acquisition of highly-regarded Nigerian attacking midfielder, Adewale Lasisi, on a permanent deal ahead of the 23/24 NPFL Season.
Amid numerous offers from NPFL clubs, Lasisi has made a firm choice in favor of Tornadoes.
Lasisi, who originally transitioned from Ibom Youths Football Club to Dakkada in 2021, swiftly endeared himself to fans with his outstanding skills on the field.
However, following Dakkada’s relegation from the Nigeria Premier Football League at the close of the 2022/2023 season, Lasisi faced a crucial decision regarding his future – a return to top-flight football.
“We are delighted to announce his commitment to the continuation of his football journey with Niger Tornadoes. Join us in extending a warm welcome to Adewale Lasisi as he becomes a part of the Tornadoes family,” the club declared.
In the meantime, Ikon Allah has also introduced another exciting talent to their squad. Nigerian deep-lying playmaker Chidi Ernest has inked a one-year deal with the team based in Niger.
Following four remarkable years with Gombe United, Chidi Ernest was drawn towards a new challenge at the conclusion of the 2022/2023 league season.
Despite initially agreeing to a two-year contract with Abia Warriors, his ultimate choice was to unite with Niger Tornadoes.
Chidi is poised to make his debut for Niger Tornadoes this weekend as they face off against Abia Warriors in Umuahia.
This remarkable player is certainly one to keep an eye on!
