Niger Tornadoes head coach, Hamza Abara, expressed his disappointment over the outcome of their recent game after they played to a 0-0 draw against the NPFL defending champions, Enyimba, on Wednesday.
The Hamza Abara side dropped their first home points after missing so many scoring opportunities, especially in the first half of the game at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium,Ā footballrover reports
At the other end, Enyimba will have their goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke, to praise after he made several crucial saves to deny the Ikon Allah Boys all scoring chances.
Abara, in his post-match press conference, described it as a tough day for his team and admitted that their plans didn’t work out.

However, he remains hopeful and determined to perform better in their upcoming match over the weekend.
The coach attributed their struggles to two key factors. First, he claimed that the team has many young players who are still adapting to their style of play.
āWe have so many young players on the team who are trying to adapt to our style of play,” the coach said.
Second, he noted that fatigue played a key role in their performance, as they had a long journey from Lagos to Kaduna before the game.
Despite the challenges, Abara commended his team for not conceding any goals and emphasised their effort in the match.
“Another factor that affected us was fatigue. We took off from Lagos around 4 a.m. on Monday and arrived in Kaduna at 10:30 p.m. The stress took a toll on the players, but overall, Iāll give kudos to them for a job well done; at least we didnāt concede a goal, nor did we lose,ā Abara said.
Looking ahead, the Niger Tornadoes are determined to bounce back to winning ways as they face Shooting Stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Sunday.
