Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have expressed appreciation to it’s Frontline Corporate Sponsors- MTN Nigeria, Official Telecommunication Partners, and Aiteo Group, Official Optimal Partner.
The NFF. made the expression in separate interactive meetings organized in Lagos by the immediate Past NFF President, and FIFA Council Member,Amaju Pinnick, to formally Introduce the New President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, to Frontline Corporate Sponsors of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Speaking at the occasion, Amaju Pinnick, said the event was historic because it was the first time the Nigeria Football family was witnessing a rancour free transition from one executive team to another.
He said it was as a result of the deep respect and strong passion for Nigeria Football that they came to introduce the new helmsmen of Nigeria Football for continuity of good, and robust business relationship in order to achieve the vision, and mission of the Nigeria Football Federation.
In his remarks, the New President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau thanked MTN Nigeria for their strong support for Nigeria Football, and Nigeria Sports.
“We appreciate what you have been doing for the game of football, and we want you to continue, and even do more so that the new board can be enabled to work assiduously to lift Nigeria game to new heights.”
“We apologize for the inability of the Super Eagles to qualify for the FIFA World Cup starting in Qatar next week, but we want to use this opportunity to commence the hard work necessary to avoid such mistakes in the future.I am assuring you that whatever funds that come through you will be judiciously used as we are presently cutting down on unnecessary expenditure in order to be prudent, and manage available resources to achieve best results,” Alhaji Gusau concluded.
Responding, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of MTN Nigeria,Carl Toriola, assured the NFF Administration of continued support of the company.
“We will continue to support the Federation until Nigeria Football gets to the level it should be Internationally.”
NFF General Secretary, Dr.Mohammed Sanusi, and Director of Communications, Ademola Olajire, were in NFF Delegation.
