Four minutes into second half, Frenkie De Jong pounced from close range to double Netherlands’ lead.
After Klassen delivered a cross to the back post, Memphis Depay attempted to score from close range, but Barsham made a superb reflex save to deny him.
De Jong was the first to respond to the rebound, and he doubled their advantage by firing a shot into an open goal to seal with win and all three points.
After earning four points from their first two games, the Netherlands only needed a point to advance to the second round of the tournament. However, they went on to earn a solid three points to finish first in their group.
