Doma United FC has added a well known goal-scoring defender – Nelson Abiam to their roster in preparation for the upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League season.
Nelson Abiam, a free agent after his departure from Enugu Rangers, has signed a one-year deal with Doma United, securing his presence until the end of the 2023/2024 season.
Previously, Abiam had initially joined Enugu Rangers from Nasarawa United on a two-year deal for the new campaign.
However, his time with the Coal City club was short-lived, as his contract was terminated just last month.
Now, he’s eager to leave his mark with Doma United.
Nelson Abiam boasts a remarkable achievement as the defender with the highest number of free-kick goals in the Nigeria Premier Football League and will be joining his new team with a wealth of experience.
In addition to this exciting acquisition, Doma United has also confirmed the contract extension of their first-choice goalkeeper, Kingdom Osayi.
Since his transfer from MFM FC to Savannah Tigers in 2022, Kingdom Osayi has proven to be an invaluable asset on the pitch.
Doma United is thrilled to announce that Kingdom has committed to the club for another year, signing a one-year contract extension.
This extension ensures that he will continue to guard Doma’s goal with dedication and skill throughout the season.
With these exciting developments, Doma United FC is gearing up for an action-packed and promising NPFL campaign ahead.
