ASVO FC of Benin Republic has strengthened its squad with the signing of several Nigeria Premier League players, including standout central defender Muri Dagbo from Abeokuta Stormers.
Muri Dagbo, a former Kwara United player, has completed a smooth two-year move to ASVO FC,Β Footballrover reports.
At just 22, Dagbo brings impressive defensive skills to one of Africa’s top clubs, known for its history of attracting elite players.
He will be reuniting with former Akwa United coach Fatai Osho, who currently leads ASVO FC as head coach.
ASVO FC’s reputation as a premier African club continues to grow, thanks to high-profile signings like Dagbo.
Speaking about his move, the highly-rated defender expressed his excitement and commitment to the club’s success.
“I am happy with this move because it’s a good one for me, and I will do all my best to help the club in all competitions,” Dagbo stated.
Before joining ASVO FC, Dagbo’s career saw him playing for ABS FC in 2019, where he transitioned from the youth team to signing his first professional contract.
He then moved to Wikki Tourists, further honing his skills in the Nigerian league.
The strong defender is set to start with ASVO FC on July 22, 2024.
