Nigerian winger Moses Simon joins Paris FC from Nantes in a high-profile move worth €7 million, marking a new chapter for the Super Eagles star in the French league.

The newly promoted Paris FC, which returned to Ligue 1 after a 46-year wait, confirmed the signing on Wednesday via their official social media channels, Footballrover reports.
“We are delighted to welcome Moses. He was a priority recruit for us, and he showed genuine interest in our project despite the numerous requests. He will make us more efficient in many areas,” the club’s Sporting Director François Ferracci said.
The 29-year-old completed his medical on Tuesday and penned a three-year deal with the club, becoming the first Nigerian male footballer to play for Paris FC.
He joins head coach Stéphane Gilli’s squad with immediate effect.
Moses Simon joins Paris FC; six-year chapter ends in Nantes
Simon spent six impressive seasons at Nantes, making 201 appearances, scoring 37 goals, and delivering 42 assists.

He enjoyed his most productive campaign last season under Antoine Kombouaré, recording 8 goals and 10 assists in 32 league appearances.
The deal also includes a significant salary upgrade. Moses Simon is now set to earn €75,000 per week—almost double what he earned at Nantes.
This move not only bolsters Paris FC’s attacking options but also adds much-needed Ligue 1 experience to their roster as they prepare for top-flight competition.
First Nigerian man at Paris FC, but not the first Nigerian

Though Simon is the first Nigerian man to sign for Paris FC, Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie previously spent five years with the club’s women’s team before her recent departure.
With 81 international caps and 10 goals for Nigeria, Moses Simon brings more than just experience.
As Moses Simon joins Paris FC, his pace, creativity, and work rate could prove crucial in Paris FC’s battle for Ligue 1 survival and beyond.
