Morocco played an organized game throughout the duration of the match.
Morocco was more on the offensive in the first half and earned two free kicks outside Spanish goal area, and was unlucky not to have scored in the first half of the match.
Spain piled pressure on the Morocco defence in the second half, but the Moroccan defence could not cave in to the Spanish attack as the second half ended goalless.
The match went into extra time which also ended scoreless.
Spain struggled to make any of their three penalty kick conversions, while Morocco shot calmly from a distance of 12 yards.
