Meet Nasarawa United’s pacy winger and emerging superstar, Nentaka Bangs, the youngest player in the NPFL, who made his league debut for the Solid Miners on March 13, 2022.
At the age of 15 years, eleven months, nine days, seven hours, and twenty minutes, he became the youngest player to appear in the Nigeria Professional Football League’s current campaign during a 1-1 home tie against visiting MFM FC.
The youngster came on in the 85th minute to replace Ajibola Otegbeye, who was elbowed in the throat and brought to the hospital, where he was later stabilised.
Nentaka, a product of GBS in Jos, Plateau State, made two successful dribbles, three accurate passes, and one interception, including forcing an attack, throughout the eight minutes of action.
His abilities, fast feet, split-second decisions, and bold vision make him a threat to opposing teams up front.
He was a breakthrough for the Solid Miners during the preseason, scoring two goals, and he is keen to carry that form into the elite competition.
