Pep Guardiola appears to believe Erling Haaland will face many difficult situations in the future, despite the fact that he may have had a great start to life in the Premier League.

Since moving from Bundesliga side – Borussia Dortmund to join the Pep Guardiola team in the summer, Haaland has performed better than even his most ardent supporters could have predicted.

The 22-year-old City forward is the quickest player to reach 15 goals in the Premier League’s history with 20 goals in 13 games, 15 of which came in that league.

Pep Guardiola is certain that the going will get tougher for the player and believes his approach will be important. The Norwegian striker has only failed to score in two games while recording hat-tricks in three of them.

However, based on what the City manager has observed about his player’s mindset, he is convinced that he will handle it well and never leave the game.

“Many bad moments are coming for sure. And in those moments he must say ‘it’s okay, now go for the next one. We were surprised by his mentality. We know his skills, but how he behaves in the bad moments, in those situations…he will maybe go 20 minutes, not seeming to be involved in the game – but he is never out of the game.” – said the manager.

The City coach added;

“That’s because you always believe you’re in the process when you have the ability and you believe it’s always easier. Haaland is always there, saying ‘I will arrive, I will be there, I will score a goal’.”

The next opponent for Manchester City is Liverpool, and Jurgen Klopp has claimed that his team cannot beat with Guardiola’s in terms of squad bolstering.
