Liverpool continues to mount more pressure on Manchester City at the top of the table after beating a tenacious West Ham side at Anfield on Saturday evening.
Notwithstanding Mane’s first-half goal, the hosts’ victory in their Premier League match was far from assured, with West Ham squandering numerous chances.
After halftime, the Reds toughened up, although Bowen’s unlucky injury, burned out the visitors as they failed to even salvage a point.

Liverpool’s victory once again shrinks City’s Premier League advantage to just three points.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had 22 shots on goal and appear good enough to handle City’s tempo, but West Ham remain fifth for the time being.

Many of the teams beneath them, on the other hand, have games in hand, and Bowen’s injury, if severe, might further deplete an already-weak squad.
The victory tonight sees the Reds cruise on in the Premier League, and they’ll be confident going into the second leg of their Champions League showdown with Inter next week.

After winning the EFL Cup, the Jurgen Klopp’s side will be hoping to push on and achieve even higher heights this season and they are in formidable form.
? “It’s always nice winning 4-0 or 5-0, but it’s three points at the end of the day – it doesn’t matter how you do it, just get the job done. We’ve been able to do that again today,” – Alexander Arnold.
