The 32-year-old Danish midfielder admitted that the team’s display was not good enough and that the players must take responsibility for the disappointing outcome, Footballrover reports.

The defeat, which marked United’s 13th loss in the Premier League this season, was characterised by a lacklustre performance from the team.

Michael Olise, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Tyrick Mitchell scored for Crystal Palace, with United’s defence struggling to contain the hosts’ attack.

For the first time in the history of the EPL, Palace has defeated United twice in a row, and they accomplished it without giving up a goal.

Speaking to BBC Sports, Eriksen expressed his frustration, stating, 

We weren’t good enough. We tried to do what we could, but we were not good enough. We’ll take the blame as players.

He acknowledged that injuries were a factor beyond their control but emphasised the need for improvement on the field.

Eriksen admitted that the outcome wouldn’t have been different regardless of the opponent and that everyone on the team shared the responsibility for underperforming.
