Ralf Rangnick, Manchester United’s interim manager, has expected his players to bounce back after their FA Cup exit at the hands of Middlesbrough.
Manchester UnitedΒ were knocked out of the FA Cup on Friday evening in a fourth-round penalty shootout by the Championship side.
The Reds were compelled to go all the way after wasting a rush of chances in the midst of the visitors’ controversial equaliser, and they paid the price with the ending 7-8 in favour of the visitors.

The players were all disappointed, but this is football, so anything can happen, according to Ralf Rangnick.
Rangnick believes the one aspect of United’s performance that was lacking was the capacity to score goals, with the team resuming to action in only three days.
”I think we have played well in the last couple of weeks, in the league and also today in the first half. I don’t think we could have done a lot of things a lot better, apart from scoring more goals in the first half. We have to take our chances better with more quality than we did today,β he said.
The 63-year-old gaffer added;
”Of course the players are disappointed like we all are but again this is football, this can happen.”
