Amorim remains confident there will soon be a change, even after back-to-back defeats for the first time since he took charge, footballrover reports.

The defeat, however, raised questions about their performance and the road ahead for the Red Devils.

United faced a strong battle after falling 3-2 to Nuno Espirito Santo’s Forest, with goals from Nikola Milenkovic, Morgan Gibbs-White, and Chris Wood lifting the visitors to fifth place.

Rasmus Højlund and Bruno Fernandes were the scorers for Man United, but their efforts weren’t enough. The result left United languishing in 13th place, just 10 points clear of relegation.

In his post-match interview with BBC Sport, Amorim admitted that his team didn’t do enough to secure the win.

Despite the setback, he expressed optimism about their ability to improve, especially with several positive moments during the game.

Amorim highlighted that United managed to control parts of the match and created multiple chances, showing progress in their movement in the final third.

However, the second half proved challenging as United struggled to find rhythm and conceded two more goals.

Amorim noted that despite experimenting with different strategies, the team lacked the quality needed to overcome Forest.

We didn’t have many situations to score. Tough game in a tough moment, but we have to continue the job. This is a long journey. We are improving in some aspects. We have to win games to help us improve the team,” he said.

With two defeats, two wins, and one draw since taking over at Man United, Amorim will now continue to face the difficult task of putting the team back in shape.
