Man City dislodged second placed Newcastle United, from the English Premier League table after an unassailable 3-1 win against Leeds United on Wednesday night.
The win elevated Manchester City to second place on the League table with 35 points in 14 out of 15 matches played so far.
Newcastle United now occupy third place on the English Premier League table with 33 points after 16 League games.

Manchester City playmaker, Rodrigo, converted a Riyad Mahrez 18 yards rebound to score their first goal of the match in 46th minutes of the first half at Ellam Road.
Erling Haaland scored twice in 57th, and 64th minutes of the second half to increase his goal haul for the season to 20 in 14 League matches played so far by.
Jack Grealish broke through Leeds defenders before passing to an unmarked Erling Haaland for Manchester City’s second goal.
Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland combined again 13 minutes later for the Citizens’ third goal. Leeds goalkeeper got a touch on Haaland’s stunning strike, but couldn’t stop the ball from finding its way into the net.
Despite the Norwegian being denied on two occasions in the opening 45 minutes of the encounter, he still managed to grab a brace to move onto 20 Premier League goals for the season.

Leeds fought back to reduce the tally through Pascal Struijk in 73rd minutes of the second half after receiving an assist from Sam Greenwood, but it turned out to be just a consolation.
