Ademola Lookman scored his fifth league goal of the season in Leicester City’s hard-fought Premier League win over Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

While his Super Eagles’ counterpart – Kelechi Iheanacho featured for just 14 minutes, the host sealed a 2-1 win at the King Power Stadium.

39 into the game, the hosts took the lead as Dewsbury-Hall beats Kouyate in midfield, before picking out Lookman with a low pass across the box.

Cutting inside, the former Everton winger blasts a shot past Guaita and into the bottom-left corner.

Dewsbury-Hall showed wonderful calmness in the final third, working some space on the edge of the area and passed cleanly for Lookman to score the game’s opening goal.

Leicester City extended their lead six minutes later. A visibly confident Dewsbury-Hall slips through the away defence to open up a gap to shoot, avoiding Kouyate just outside the Palace area.

He scores his first Premier League goal after assisting on the opener, guiding the ball strongly into the top-left corner.

Maddison set up the second goal by delivering a pass right beyond the Crystal Palace area to Dewsbury-Hall.

Ayew takes a couple of stepovers up the right side, breezes past Tielemans and prepares to turn inside 18 minutes into the second half, but the Leicester midfielder takes him down with a reckless challenge, giving Palace a lifeline.

But Schmeichel was equal to Zaha’s poor penalty, diving left to palm it away.

Fortunately for Zaha, the penalty save was overturned by VAR, and he was given a second chance to score from the spot.

Zaha takes the penalty kick once more, but this time it’s right towards Schmeichel in the middle of the goal. He’s blown it yet again. Schmeichel saves a penalty for the second time in a row, this time denying Zaha’s re-taken attempt.

Finally, the ball is forced in, as Zaha reacts first to nudge the ball into the net on the rebound after missing his second penalty attempt, leaving Schmeichel prone. The score is currently 2-1 in Leicester’s favor, and the game continues!

In today’s match, the same Crystal Palace XI that started the win against Arsenal was a pale shell of their previous selves.

Leicester were marginally superior and were able to hold on to their lead to earn all three points.
