Lobi Stars have made a splash in the transfer market by unveiling Ossy Martins, who returns to the club from Remo Stars, alongside 14 other new players as they prepare for the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The 23-year-old forward makes his way back to Lobi Stars just six months after his move to Remo Stars.
This marks his second spell with the Makurdi-based side, adding another chapter to his well-travelled career.
Having started at Abia Warriors, Martins has played for Rivers United, Enugu Rangers, and had stints abroad with US Tataouine in Tunisia and Dumlupinar TSK in Cyprus, Footballrover reports.
The club introduced a fresh batch of talent alongside Martins, including Hilega Bemshima, Komgbenda Joseph, Terna Peter Yoonen, and Aondoyavenga Japhet.
The new signings also feature Torkuma Gyenkwe, Ifeanyi Assurance, Valentine Igiga, Jide Williams, Baba Tunde, Samuel Anefiok, Akor Itodo, Jimmy Iteji, Segun Oluwatoba, and Matthew Arinze.
Arinze, Oluwatoba, Iteji, and Itodo join from Abia Warriors, Ijebu United, Plateau United, and Gombe United, respectively.
Meanwhile, Anefiok, Martins, Tunde, Igiga, Williams, and Assurance have been recruited from Doma United, Remo Stars, Akwa United, Gombe United, Bendel Insurance, and Bayelsa United.
The remaining players were scouted from academies around Benue State, adding local flavour to the squad.
Lobi Stars seems fully set to make their mark when the new NPFL season kicks off on Saturday, August 31 as the new recruits team up with the rest of the squad in Jos.
