Manchester United fans have picked out Hannibal Mejbri, the Red Devils’ youngster, for plaudits following their dreadful performance against Liverpool on Tuesday night.
Liverpool cruised to the top of the Premier League table after a 4-0 thrashing of Manchester United at Anfield.
The Reds were in total control and dominated the contest from the start, thanks to goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah in the first half.
United exerted some momentum in the second half, but the hosts swiftly put the game out of reach when Sadio Mane converted Diaz’s cross, and Salah added his second with five minutes remaining.

United coach – Ralf Rangnick then brought Hannibal Mejbri, a 19-year-old midfielder who came on in the 84th minute and immediately got to work as the senior players wandered around aimlessly for 90 minutes.
In 10 minutes, Hannibal Mejbri, who came in to replace Anthony Elanga, had more fighting spirit, energy, resilience and attitude than the rest of the United squad had all season.
Many Man United supporters praised the teenager on social media for his strong performance despite his limited playing time.
Hannibal came on and demonstrated more passion and desire in five minutes than the rest of the team did in the entire 90 minutes.
Fans are now demanding for Ralf Rangnick to bench all those entitled, spineless Man United players for the remainder of the season and play the youngsters.

By far the best player on the pitch although he was only on for a short period of time. Can’t wait for EtH to come in and give these youngsters a run of games, would out shine this first team by a mile after seeing that tonight. Passion, energy, hunger.

Lost for words at that performance.
Players looked disinterested from the first minute and it took 19-year-old Hannibal Mejbri to come on and show a bit of passion.

At the other end, Rangnick have declared a Man United revolution shortly after the game.
“It’s not enough to bring in three or four new players. It will be more, bearing in mind how many players will no longer be here [out of contract]”. Apart from goalkeeping, we need to improve the squad in ALL areas,” he told SkySport News
However, Liverpool will be facing Frank Lampard Everton next in the Merseyside derby on Sunday at Anfield.
While Manchester United’s next match is on Saturday as well at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal.
