Reflecting on the overall display, the former Man City star highlighted Celtic’s dominance, especially in the opening stages, while admitting the team could have been more clinical.

I think, especially in the first half, we blew them away. We got a few chances to put away, but unfortunately, it didn’t click. But yeah, second half, they come back in the game and scored the pen, as well, but at the end, we got the point there, which is massive.”

The goal marked Iheanacho’s third league strike of the season and his first in over six months, ending a 12-game drought stretching back to October 2025.

Having spent time out of the side, the forward also spoke about the importance of being back on the pitch and making an impact when it mattered most.
