After teasing NPFL fans with a cryptic tweet about his next move, former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has finally lured the interest of Katsina United.
Amidst all the excitement, the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) side has decided to shoot their shot—it’s brilliant and might likely hit target, Footballrover reports.
The Tweet that Ignited Speculation
In typical Ahmed Musa fashion, the Nigerian football icon took to X (formerly Twitter) to stir up the rumour mill, asking fans:
“Let’s go again. Which team do you wish for me to sign?”
Accompanying the post was an image of all 20 NPFL club logos, giving fans a hint that he will prefer any NPFL side.
Fans across the country speculated wildly, but surprisingly, only one club has stepped in with a response so cheeky and fun that it’s hard for Musa to ignore.
Katsina United’s Playful Pitch
Enter Katsina United, the NPFL club that decided to capitalise on Musa’s tweet in the most hilarious and light-hearted way.
Taking to their own X page, they responded:
“We feel you should follow the Kardashian road; you’ve previously played for the Kano Pillars, so we all know which K will come next. Life in Katsina is amazing, and we have the best supporters in the country. You will definitely get a brand new song. Think about it, Myca.”
The playful message had fans laughing, including me.

And, of course, the reference to “following the Kardashian road” (moving from one K-named team to another) was the cherry on top.
Nice creativity though!
The Changi Boys may have started their season with a narrow 1-0 loss to Plateau United, but they bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Bendel Insurance in matchday two.
They are preparing to face a hungry Heartland FC in Owerri, looking to build momentum—and perhaps, just perhaps, with Ahmed Musa in their ranks!
