Jude Sunday net brace as Flying Eagles thrash Tunisia to secure U20 AFCON third spot

Jude Sunday put in man of the match performance, also grabbed a brace as Flying Eagles of Nigeria thrashed Tunisia 4-0 to win third place match of U20 CAF Africa Cup Nations, AFCON in Egypt.Jude Sunday net brace as Flying Eagles thrash Tunisia to secure U20 AFCON third spot

The Nigerian U20 side scored two goals in quick successions in the second half, after scoring an early goal in the first half to record a resounding 4-0 victory against Tunisian U-20 team in the third place match of U-20 CAF Africa Cup Of Nations.

Belgian-based Nigerian attacker – Ahmed Abdullahi scored his first goal of the tournament when he dispossessed a Tunisian defender of the ball before releasing a terrific shot for the Flying Eagles second goal in the 46th minutes of second half of the match played at Cairo International Stadium.

Ahmed Abdullahi was later substituted by Adams Alade. In the 48th minutes of the second half, Jude Sunday rounded up three Tunisian defenders before releasing a bullet for Flying Eagles third goal.

Ibrahim Beji Muhammad had given Flying Eagles an early lead in the 9th minutes of the first half after scrambling into the net a Daniel Bameyi’s cross from the right side of the field.

Tunisia managed to level the scores in the 28th minute of the first half, but the goal was ruled off side by Center referee.

Before Jude Sunday grabbed his brace in the match after receiving an assist from Samson Lawal on the 90th minutes to make it 4-0 in favour of the Flying Eagles.

Jude Sunday is a star in the making and his stunning goals earned him the TotalEnergies Man of the Match award.
