The UEFA Champions Festival at Munich’s SAP Garden played host to a thrilling Ultimate Champions Legends Tournament, a four-day celebration of football.
On May 30th, six-a-side teams comprised of Champions League legends took to the pitch, with two beloved Nigerian stars shining brightly.
Jay-Jay Okocha graced the Royal Seedorf team, captained by Clarence Seedorf, and featuring the talents of Petr Čech, Iván Córdoba, Thiago Alcântara, Luis García, Christian Karembeu, and Marco Materazzi.
His signature flair was on full display, most notably when he effortlessly dribbled past Claude Makélélé and Kaká, reminding everyone why he’s considered a true legend of the game.
Mikel Obi joins the legends tourney thrill
Also participating in this prestigious legends competition was John Mikel, who played for Figo FC, captained by Luís Figo.
His teammates included Edwin van der Sar, Cafu, Gaizka Mendieta, Robert Pirès, Esteban Cambiasso, and Mario Gomez.
The presence of both Okocha and Mikel added an extra piece of excitement for football fans present and watching worldwide.
