Jamie Carragher, the well known Sky Sports pundit has thrown his weight behind Chelsea new signing, Pedro Neto, predicting that the Portuguese winger could be a game-changer for the Blues if he can stay injury-free.
The former Liverpool defender, known for his no-nonsense analysis, believes Neto possesses the skill and talent to be one of the Premier League’s top players, but only;
“If they can keep him fit, he’s a special talent. I think he is one of the top players in the Premier League if fit,” he said.
Neto joined Chelsea from Wolverhampton Wanderers for a fee of £54 million earlier this month, and Carragher’s endorsement of the “player with a huge amount of ability” will undoubtedly boost the confidence of both the player and the club’s supporters, Footballrover reports.
While injuries have occasionally hampered Neto’s progress, Carragher’s praise highlights the winger’s undeniable quality.
If he can stay on the pitch, he could be a key contributor to Chelsea’s success.
With the likes of Cole Palmer, Christopher Nkunku, Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, and Raheem Sterling also vying for playing time, it’s clear that Chelsea have a wealth of attacking talent at their disposal.
However, the competition for places could lead to several departures before the transfer window closes.

The 24-year-old was introduced from the bench during Chelsea’s Saturday 2-0 loss to Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
