Lautaro Martinez scored a brace as Inter rallied from behind to beat Empoli 4-2 at San Siro on Friday night to move to the top of Serie A.
The visitors got off to a flying start, with Pinamonti putting them ahead after just five minutes and Asllani adding a second after a rapid break in the 28th minute.
Inter got back into the game with two goals in five minutes before halftime; Romagnoli put one in his own net before Martinez equalized.

Inter took the lead in the 64th minute when the Argentinian scored his second, before Sanchez sealed the deal with a close-range strike deep into stoppage time.
Inter moves one point ahead of Milan in the league standings, with their opponents not playing until Sunday.
Their focus now shifts to Wednesday’s Coppa Italia final, in which they will face Juventus. Empoli’s winless streak continues, and they stay in 14th place.
Their following game will be against relegation struggling side – Salernitana.
