Ikorodu City is brimming with optimism as they prepare for yet another tough challenge away from home, and this time, they’ll be trading tackles with Kwara United during their matchday three of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). 
The Lagos City Boys are determined to turn their fortunes around after a challenging start to the season, where they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Kano Pillars, Footballrover reports.
Legendary midfielder Rabiu Ali stunned them with a brace, while Umar sealed the victory, reminding the newcomers just how tough the NPFL can be.
Now, as they prepare to face the Harmony Boys at the Kwara State Sports Complex in Ilorin on Sunday, the City boys recognise the urgency of this match.

It’s a must-win if they hope to bounce back and find their footing in the league.
Both teams are hungry for their first three points of the 2024/25 campaign, having faced setbacks in their opening fixtures—Kwara United also fell short against Niger Tornadoes.
Despite the daunting challenge of back-to-back away games, the Oga Boys are ready to embrace the battle. 
The team has been vocal about their preparations, stating on their official website,
“We know back-to-back away games at the start of the season can be overwhelming, especially for a new side like us, but we’ve embraced the challenge.”
According to the Bright Ozebagbe’s side, they have dedicated the past two weeks to intensive training, focussing on both physical and mental readiness.
