Enyimba overcomes Black Bulls after long winless streak
The 4-1 win over Black Bulls ended a 10-match winless streak for People’s Elephant, lifting spirits ahead of their upcoming match against Al Masry.
Joseph Atule opened the scoring, followed by a defensive mistake that allowed the visitors to equalise.
But Ihemekwele’s strike restored the Aba giants’ advantage before the second half saw goals from Brown Ideye and Atule again, securing the crucial three points.
Despite the win, the Stanley Eguma side remains in the bottom spot of the group, with four points from four games.
However, they’ll hope to continue their momentum in their next match, which could see them climb up the standings.
Ihemekwele’s contributions have been important to NPFL side’s push for success in the CAF Confederation Cup this season.
With his consistency, the forward will surely be vital as the team seeks to improve their standing in the competition.
