With seven wins in their last eight matches, Ibrahim Gbadamosi and AL Zawraa are pushing hard to close the gap on league leaders Al Shorta.

Currently sitting second with 58 points, they are just one point behind Al Shorta, who have yet to play their round 28 fixture.

Gbadamosi continues to shine as one of the key contributors to Al Zawraa’s title chase this season.

Meanwhile, in Lithuania’s A Lyga, Yusuf delivered a brilliant individual performance, but his efforts weren’t enough to prevent FC Hegelmann from suffering a 3-1 defeat to Kauno Zalgris.

The 20-year-old forward scored a stunning header, his third goal of the season, to level the score after the home team had taken the lead from a penalty.

However, the match turned in Kauno Zalgris’ favour as they capitalised on another penalty and a late goal in stoppage time.

Despite the loss, Rasheed Yusuf showed his potential with a strong performance, and his goal kept FC Hegelmann in the contest.

It was a tough defeat, marking their first loss of the season after five wins and one draw.
