Kocaelispor has confirmed that the club has reached an agreement with FC Sheriff for the transfer of Ibrahim Akanbi Rasheed for a fixed transfer fee.
Rasheed Akanbi, a 23-year-old forward, has officially completed the move from the Turkish team Kocaelispor to FC Sheriff in the First Division of Moldova.
After the team concluded the previous campaign in 16th place and barely escaped relegation, Kocaelispor decided to part ways with Rasheed Akanbi for a transfer fee of 67,500 Euros.
Footballrover gathered that there were further compensation conditions in the transfer agreement that concerned the selling of the Nigerian player.
Kocaelispor will receive 80,000 Euros if the Moldovan team plays in the UEFA Champions League group stages during the 2022β2023 season.
Additionally, FC Sheriff will get a payment of 20,000 Euros if they compete in the UEFA Conference League group stages and a payment of 40,000 Euros if they compete in the UEFA Europa League group stages.
On the other hand, Kocaelispor will also get a 10% share of the player’s subsequent sale.
A statement by the club reads;
“The leadership of FC Sheriff and Nigerian striker Rashid Akanbi came to an agreement on cooperation. Today, after passing a medical examination, the player signed a personal agreement with the club.”
Ibrahim Akanbi Rasheed only managed to score three goals in 15 games while playing for Kocaelispor in the TFF 1 League.
The striker will be aiming to improve his goal-scoring form with his new team during the 22/23 season.
