Imade Osarenkhoe, Bendel Insurance forward has acknowledged that he considers himself as a top player, adding that he’s being paid to score in every game they play in the Nigeria Premier Football League, (NPFL) and will continue to do so.
The current NPFL top scorer, Imade also admitted that he has been working incredibly hard since their pre-season and tendered God the praise for rewarding all of his efforts with victories.
The Black Bullet, who has now scored four goals in four straight games for the team this season, made this statement in an exclusive interview with Footballrover after the Benin Arsenals’ 3-0 victory over Remo Stars.
“I feel very good and I feel more happy my team won the game. I have been working hard since preseason and finally God crowned my effort with success I give him the praise. I always see myself as a top player.” – he said.
It only took the youngster barely six minutes into the clash to find back of the net against Remo Stars, who were on a three-game cleansheet streak.
Imade scores again!

At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Saturday, the 22-year-old diehard Arsenal fan tapped in a drop ball from Osas Okoro’s corner kick to give his team the lead.
A few minute later, Ismael Sarki doubled the lead for the Benin Boys with his third goal of the season. Before Sarki sealed the victory for Insurance by taking advantage of a major error by goalkeeper – Bankole Kayode.
With his goal against Remo Stars, the UNIBEN graduate increased his goal total for the season to four in four games, moving him into first place on the NPFL scoring leaderboard.
Speaking further with footballrover, Imade urged Bendel Insurance fans to be patient with the team, adding that the Benin Arsenals are still a work in progress and will not let them down.
“Our fans should be patient with us we are still work in progress and we will not let them down.” – Imade said.
When asked if every other team they are yet to play against should be scared to face the Black Bullet, having scored in every game so far this season, he noted;
“I just see myself doing the regular stuff I am being paid to do and so lucky I have been able to find the back of the net and I pray it continues but the team goal is still my target.”
4οΈβ£ – Bendel Insurance are the first team to win their first 4 matches in an NPFL season since Plateau United did so in 2015. The only other team to achieve such a feat was Kaduna United in the 2008/2009 season. Perfect #NPFL #NPFL23 #BENREM ##BendelInsurance pic.twitter.com/rbeUSe8hm0

Bendel Insurance look unstoppable right now, the only side with a perfect record, do you see your team winning the League at the end of the campaign?
“Our target is not wining the league the target is to remain in the league next season and hopefully go for the super 6 and the goal still hasnβt changed.”
A lot of people felt Remo Stars will be a tough side to handle, how did you guys dismantle them so easily ?
“Remo star is a familiar opponent we know we needed to be more aggressive and get the goals as early as possible and then tactically mark them till the end of the game and the plans worked.”
Do you see yourself finishing off the season as the top goal scorer and how many goals at least?
“My goal is not to win the highest goal scorer I want to keep helping my team win as many game as possible and then hit a double goal figure before the end of the season.”
