On Monday evening, Nigerian forward – Henry Offia scored the game-winning goal to give Trelleborgs FF a convincing victory over Skövde AIK.
The forward performed as expected for Trelleborgs in their Swedish Superettan league matchup.
At the Vngavallen stadium, Trelleborgs defeated Skövde AIK 2-1 thanks to Henry Offia’s seventh league goal of the campaign.
Although the Kristian Haynes side got off to a strong start, it was the visitors who swiftly took the lead 13 minutes before the first half ended courtesy of goal from Jack Cooper Love.
After the Skövde AIK goalie mishandled Haris Brkic’s opening shot, Nicolas Mortensen bounced on it immediately to give the home team a chance to tie the score two minutes into the second half with a straightforward tap-in.
52 minutes into the gamw, Henry Offia doubled Trelleborgs’ lead with a powerful curly shot from outside the 18-yard box, and they held on to that lead until the final whistle. His goal ensured that Trelleborgs won the match and all three points.
After the 2-1 victory, both teams are now in fifth and sixth place, with Trelleborgs leading by just one goal difference after fifteen games.
When Trelleborgs plays Norrby on July 30, they will be striving to extend their winning streak.
The 22-year-old Nigerian forward will also want to continue his outstanding scoring streak for Trelleborgs in the current campaign.
