Nigerian forward – Henry Offia has carried on from where he left off, spurring Trelleborgs FF to a slim victory over IK Brage with a goal on Sunday afternoon.
In their Swedish Superettan league match, the forward opened the scoring, delivered a strong and classic performance to guide Trelleborgs in securing an away victory.
Trelleborgs claimed a 2-1 win over IK Brage at the Domnarvsvallen stadium thanks to goals from Henry Offia and Nicolas Mortensen in the first half.
Barely 19 minutes into the match, Henry Offia’s goalβhis tenth league goal of the seasonβhelped the Kristian Haynes team get off to a promising start as they easily took the lead.
Only seven minutes later, Douglas Karlberg equalized for the home team to get them back in the game. Nine minutes before halftime, Nicolas Mortensen scored the game-winning goal.
The home team missed several scoring opportunities in the second half as the away team held onto the narrow lead to steal the victory and earn all three points.
IK Brage maintains third position in the standings with 40 points after the 2-1 loss, but Henry Offia and his colleagues remain in fifth with just one-point deficit.
On October 3, Trelleborgs will take on JΓΆnkΓΆping in an effort to continue their winning streak.
The 22-year-old Nigerian forward, who loves scoring against this Brage team will also seek to maintain his excellent goal scoring performance for Trelleborgs this season.
With four additional goals in just 24 league games, Henry Offia has now eclipsed his previous season’s total of six goals in 30 appearances.
