Henry Offia is one Nigerian striker currently at the top of his game for his a club side as he scored twice (6th and 7th league goal of the season) to help Trelleborgs FF secure a convincing win in the Swedish Superettan league.

The Nigerian forward put in a man-of-the-match performance to help his team – Trelleborgs FF come from behind to hammer Dalkurd FF 4-2 on Sunday.

In a closely contested game at the Vångavallen Stadium, Henry Offia scored his 6th and 7th goals of the campaign to earn Trelleborgs a well deserved victory and all three point against Dalkurd in front of their home crowd.

Just eleven minutes into the game, Rassa Rahmani converted a penalty to give the visitors the lead. Eight minutes later, Jesper Modig scored an own goal to make it 2-0.

Mouhammed-Ali Dhaini managed to get one goal back for the home team after 27 minutes of play thanks to a wonderful assist from Bödvar Bödvarsson.

Before Henry Offia was able to turn the narrative for the Kristian Haynes team, he scored the equalizer with just a minute remaining in the first half and made the score 3-2 with just a minute into the second as well.

Henry scored his first goal as a result of a remarkable counterattack, before he outran three defenders in the box in a single motion and still managed to shoot the ball at an absurdly tight angle above the goalkeeper’s head for his second.

With a well-executed brace to give Trelleborgs the lead over his former team, Dalkurd FF, for the first time in the game, the 22-year-old has already surpassed his goal total of six for 2021 campaign.

The fourth goal by Nicolas Mortensen put the game out of the visitors’ reach, and in the 90th minute Lukas Minter Wettergren came on to replace Henry Offia.

Trelleborgs gains a position with the victory, moving up to fifth place with 33 points, while Dalkurd FF stays in second to last place with 18 points after 20 games.

Henry Offia and his Trelleborgs teammates will be attempting to add to their winning streak on Saturday when they travel to play Landskrona BoIS.
