Real Madrid advanced to the Champions League quarter-finals thanks to their hat-trick hero – Karim Benzema in the second leg of their round-of-16 tie against PSG at the Bernabeu.
The Carlo Ancelotti side came from.behind to secure a 3-1 victory over PSG with Benzema scoring all three goals in second half.
Mbappe received Neymar’s pass in the 39th minute and drilled a strike beyond Thibaut Courtois to give the French side a 1-0 lead at the interval.
The Frenchman was brilliant all through the encounter and could have easily scored more goals to put the game out of reach before halftime.

Karim Benzema had a number of chances for the hosts, one of which Gianluigi Donnarumma expertly saved.
Madrid were sliced open at the defense line with ease, and if it hadn’t been for Courtois, the Spanish giants would been out of the tournament way before the half-time break.
After rounding Courtois and blasting into the net in 54th minute, Mbappe sees his second attempt of the night called off.
Because the Frenchman moved a little too early in response to Messi’s pass, the flag was raised to indicate offside.
Six minutes later, Donnarumma gives Madrid a comeback hope with a goal from Benzema, bringing the score to 1-1.
The Italian goalkeeper made a dreadful error at the back, giving Benzema a simple opportunity to convert from close range.
Donnarumma received a simple pass from Verratti but held on to it for much too long, leaving Benzema with no option than to snatch the ball away from him, and it fell to Vinicius.
The Brazilian squares up to Benzema, who directs his attempt away from Donnarumma into the bottom-left corner.

And the turnaround kicked off from there as the Frenchman scored twice in two minutes to complete his hat-trick and send his team into the quarter-finals, surprising Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Karim Benzema’s amazing second-half hat-trick has helped Real Madrid into the Champions League’s last eight.
With the 3-2 scoreline on aggregate, Madrid are through to the next round while the Mauricio Pochettino side will be heading home full of grief as they’ve failed in their mission for the third season in a row.
