Following their frustrating 2-2 draw against Everton at home on Saturday, Chelsea head coach Graham Potter felt that there were enough of positives to take and noted that the Blues attacked well.
Ellis Simms scored an equalizer for the visitors in the latter moments of the game, denying the Blues the chance to enter the international break on the heels of four straight victories.
Everton came from behind twice to earn the 2-2 draw at the Bridge despite the Blues dominating the first half without making a breakthrough.

Early in the second half, Joao Felix was the one to finally break the score when he pounced on Keane’s bad deflection and slid his low effort into the post.
Havertz then cleared the ball off the goal; unfortunately, goal-line technology awarded Doucoure the equalizer. The German then converted a penalty kick to give Graham Potter’s side the lead after Tarkowski fouled James.
Before Simms scored his first goal for Everton late in the game after coming off the bench.
Graham Potter expressed his disappointment that Chelsea could only manage a draw and claimed Everton occasionally outmuscled them.
“Result wise its a step back. Performance wise I think it was a step forward. We attacked well. There were individual performances that were positive but again, the feeling is frustration because we’ve dropped points.” – Graham Potter said.
Although Potter acknowledged that the final scoreline left a bad taste in his mouth, he insisted that the performance as a whole was a step in the right direction.
“I thought we showed a lot of positive things… We can do a little bit better in the final third. It was a step forward in terms of our performance. But when you drop points you have to be disappointed.” – he said.
With that point, Chelsea overtakes Aston Villa and moves into 10th place, ending their winning streak. The team’s following match is in two weeks against Villa.
Everton is currently in 15th place but is only two points above the relegation zone. After the international break, they will host Tottenham.
