From Abuja to Gothenburg, Nigerian youngsters Sporting Supreme wrote their name in gold at Gothia Cup 2025.

The Nigerian side didn’t just win — they dominated, thrilled, and inspired.

On the final day at Gamla Ullevi, they sealed their place in history by crushing Sweden’s Varbergs BoIS 4–0 to lift the Gothia Cup 2025 U18 title, Footballrover reports.

With a flawless run from start to finish, Sporting Supreme were a class apart.

Across the tournament, they scored 47 goals and conceded just ten. They won all their games — not even a single draw or defeat.

Ebrima Manneh, their clinical forward, emerged as top scorer with nine goals.

In the B18 final, played under a blazing Swedish sun, it took just eight minutes for the first roar.

Manneh unleashed a thunderbolt to put Sporting Supreme ahead and honoured late footballer Diogo Jota in celebration — a touching moment that blended brilliance with emotion.

By the 26th minute, the Nigerians doubled their lead through a stunning strike from Ahmed Njundu Kanyi, who wasn’t done yet.

Kanyi returned after the break with another wonder goal, leaving the Varberg crowd thrilled.

Ten minutes before full-time, John Ogwuche added the fourth to seal an emphatic 4–0 win. The scoreboard reflected the gap in class and character.

After the final whistle, the MVP of the match, Ahmed Njundu Kanyi, couldn’t hide his joy:

— “It feels absolutely amazing to have the chance to win this tournament. Just being part of it is an honour for us – and to actually win… I’m so thankful.”

Asked if he often scores goals like this, he laughed:

— “I usually score a few nice goals,” he said with a laugh. “But seriously, it’s a great feeling to be able to do it in such an important match like this. I’m proud and happy.”

The celebration plans? Loud and legendary:

— “Tonight we’ll celebrate so loudly that all of Sweden hears us. There’ll be lots of dancing and singing. Everyone’s just so happy right now.”
