UD Tenerife finally broke the deadlock in the 40th minute through María José Pérez, who handed the hosts a deserved lead.
The momentum continued into the second half as Gift Monday struck in the 56th minute, securing her 8th league goal of the campaign to double the advantage and send the home fans into celebration.
Despite Madrid CFF’s efforts to mount a comeback, UD Tenerife’s defence held firm.
Monday’s performance was instrumental in ensuring her side’s return to winning ways following their narrow 2-1 defeat to Granada in the previous fixture, where she scored a stoppage-time goal in vain.
