Fred Rodrigues is beaming with pride right now following his amazing chip goal in Manchester United’s rout of Liverpool in the first preseason friendly.
In their first preseason friendly against Liverpool, Manchester United took a commanding lead thanks to a brilliant chip from Fred.
At the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Tuesday, the two Premier League heavyweights commenced their preseason games.
While Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp started several young players, including recently acquired Fabio Carvalho, United manager Erik ten Hag decided to field a lineup that was nearly at full strength.
However, Liverpool got off to the good start of the two teams, forcing United goalkeeper David De Gea to make an early save.
The Red Devils, though, quickly pulled ahead after that. Isaac Mabaya of Liverpool struggled to deal with a cross from Bruno Fernandes, leaving Jadon Sancho with no option but to give his team the lead with a superb first-time finish.
After Luke Chambers was denied, Liverpool missed several opportunities to tie the score as Carvalho and Diaz both promptly struck the post respectively.
Later in the half, Liverpool were compelled to pay for squandering their chances as Fred was able to guide an exquisite chip over Alisson’s helpless dive after his teammates failed to clear the ball in their own area yet again.
30' – Goal for Manchester United. Fred.

Fred had to take the praise after chipping Alisson with his weaker foot and the young man took to his social media page to to say what a good way to start the pre-season.
