Nigerian forward Fred Onyedinma delivered another impressive performance on Saturday evening, scoring to inspire Wycombe Wanderers to a commanding home victory over Doncaster in English League One.

Onyedinma netted the third goal as Wycombe swept aside their visitors 4–0 at Adams Park, Footballrover reports.

The strike took the 29-year-old’s total goal contributions for the season to 10, with eight goals and two assists from 28 appearances.

Thanks to Onyedinma, Wycombe claimed their biggest win of the season. The visitors threatened early through Luke Molyneux, but Wycombe soon took control.

Aaron Morley opened the scoring on his debut, firing home after good work from Dan Harvie.

The hosts piled on the pressure, with Cauley Woodrow unlucky not to score before the break.

Woodrow doubled the lead early in the second half, converting a rebound. Onyedinma then curled in a superb third before Jamie Mullins sealed the emphatic win late on.

And that vital victory was enough to move them up to 8th place on the table with 43 points.

Otele Impresses on Bundesliga Debut

Philip Otele has made a positive start to life in the German Bundesliga, registering an assist on his Hamburger SV debut as they claimed an away victory over Heidenheim.

Otele set up the opening goal as Hamburg ran out 2–0 winners at the Voith Arena.

The Nigerian forward featured for 68 minutes before being replaced by Rayan Philippe.

The 26-year-old not only displayed his creativity but also completed the most dribbles in the match (three). Despite the win, Hamburg remain 11th in the table with 12 points after 21 matches.

Nigerian Stars Make Headlines in English Leagues

It was a different story for Joe Aribo in the English Championship, as the Super Eagles midfielder made his Leicester City debut in a tough away defeat to Bright Osayi-Samuel’s Birmingham City.

Aribo played just 13 minutes, coming on in the 77th minute to replace Divine Mukasa with Leicester already trailing 2–1 at St Andrew’s Knighthead Park.

The loss marked Leicester City’s third defeat in a row and extended their winless run to five matches—four defeats and a draw—leaving them deep in the danger zone.

Meanwhile, in the English Premier League, Samuel Chukwueze and Alex Iwobi both featured as Fulham suffered a 2–1 home defeat to Everton.

Iwobi played the full 90 minutes and completed the most passes in the match (68), while Chukwueze was on the pitch for 75 minutes and struck the woodwork with one of his two efforts on goal.

Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey was an unused substitute.
