Following the conclusion of the 2021/22 season, the contracts of both players at Chelsea and AC Milan, respectively, came to an end.

He has a totally distinct profile from the other midfielders at Barça and he will also be tested as a pivot even though he was signed as an interior player, Xavi noted.

Franck Kessie enjoyed a successful five-season stint at Milan, netting six league goals in 31 appearances to help the team win its first Scudetto in almost ten years.

The 26-year-old Danish defender in an emotional message to Chelsea and fans said;

I was a young boy at Chelsea with all the hopes and fears of a player starting his career. Mentally the last few months have been tough. I’m not the most talkative person so sometimes people don’t understand how much the club and the fans mean to me.”

In an interview, Laporta announced the additions and the dates on which they will be introduced as Barcelona players.
