France hammered South Africa 5-0 in an international friendly on Tuesday night, with former Chelsea star Olivier Giroud scoring a goal and Kylian Mbappe adding a brace.
Les Bleus exacted vengeance on Bafana Bafana, who were looking for a second straight win over France after defeating them 2-1 in a 2010 Fifa World Cup Group A match in Bloemfontein.
Mbappe was a huge threat to South Africa all through the game, scoring a brace and assisting on the fifth goal at Lille’s Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
France proved too powerful for South Africa, as the defending world champions cruised to a 5-0 victory over Bafana Bafana.

It was a one-sided contest as Olivier Giroud, Wissem Ben Yedder, and Matteo Guendouzi were all on target for Les Bleus,
It was an entirely dominant performance, with the home side firing 27 shots at South Africa’s goal, to earn a seventh consecutive victory in spectacular fashion.
Commentator (🇫🇷 5-0🇿🇦) :
"France can score 10 to 15 goals if they want to, all they are doing right now is to show some sympathy to South Africa. Simple as that"

The world champions have signed off for the next three months with a compelling display, although against restricted opposition, and are in good shape to defend their crown later this year, with Euro 2020 failure now a distant memory.
France, who haven’t lost a match since losing to Switzerland at the Euros, will now focus on the forthcoming Nations League, which kicks off on June 3 at home against Denmark.

Meanwhile, South Africa will be hoping for better results the next time they face a global heavyweight like their hosts last night.
South Africa seeing Ghana qualify for the World Cup in Qatar whilst getting smacked 5-0 by France must be tough.
