The President Federation Cup witnessed a stunning Round of 16 on Wednesday, with three former NPFL Champions eliminated in shocking upsets.
Defending NPFL champions Enyimba, Shooting Stars, and Akwa United were dumped out of the FA Cup by lower league clubs, Footballrover reports.
Enyimba suffered a 1-0 loss to Sokoto United at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja, with Sokoto United taking the lead just 20 minutes in.

Enyimba had two golden opportunities to seal the win but missed the spot twice.
Shooting Stars and Akwa United also lost 1-0 to El-Kanemi Warriors and Kebbi United, respectively.
Meanwhile, Sunshine Stars recorded a 1-0 win against Rivers United, who were hoping to retain their continental spot by winning the FA Cup.
Lucky Nwafor netted the decisive goal in the eighth minute, and Rivers United missed a penalty 19 minutes from stoppage time, sealing their exit.
In other matches, penalty shootouts decided the winners. Ikorodu City and Inter Lagos played out a 1-1 draw, with Inter Lagos emerging victorious 5-4 in penalties.
Kwara United and Abia Warriors ended 1-1, with Abia Warriors winning 4-3 in penalties.
Katsina United and Kano Pillars finished 1-1, with Pillars edging out Katsina United 8-7 in a thrilling penalty shootout.
Wikki suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat to EFCC.

With the exit of Enyimba, Shooting Stars, Akwa United, and Rivers United, Kano Pillars and Abia Warriors are now favourites to grab the title.
