Prior to their home game against Monaco, Nice announced the signing of the English midfielder Ross Barkley, who joined on a free move.
After signing with the Ligue 1 team as a free agent, Ross Barkley was formally unveiled as a new OGC Nice star player on Sunday night at the stadium.

The 28-year-old, who only made six Premier League appearances last season and scored two goals in those six, mutually ended his contract with the Blues last month.
The Englishman moved to Stamford Bridge in 2017 after his time at Everton, but from 2020 till his departure from Chelsea, his playing time dropped considerably, leading to a loan stint with Aston Villa.
The former Chelsea star will don the number eleven jersey at OGC Nice, which was left vacant by Amine Gouiri after his exit from the club to Rennes.

Meanwhile, the French team has been bringing in players with significant Premier League experience, including Aaron Ramsey and Kasper Schmeichel, who joined the club earlier this summer as free agents.
With the addition of left-back Joe Bryan, who was on loan from Fulham, Ross Barkley became OGC Nice’s fourth former Premier League player.
