At the M.K.O. Abiola Stadium in Abuja today, the Flying Eagles of Nigeria defeated Junior Chipolopolo of Zambia 4-2 in an international friendly match.
The friendly game is being used by the two teams to get ready for the upcoming CAF U-20 African Cup of Nations, which will take place in Egypt from February 19 to March 11, 2023.
In the 43rd minute of the first half of the game, Halilu Sarki gave the Ladan Bosso side the lead.
In the 62nd minute of the second half of the game, Moses Mulenga equalized the score for the Zambian team.
Olamilekan Adams made it 2-1 for the Flying Eagles in the 66th minute of the second half. Lasmond Phiri of Zambia tied the game at 2-2 four minutes later.
Nigeria however, won the game 4-2 thanks to two quick goals from Emmanuel Uchegbu and Samson Lawal in the final fifteen (15) minutes.
