Two crucial changes made by Coach Ladan Bosso in the 57th minute of the round of 16 match gave the Eagles a hard-earned 2-0 victory and a precious quarter-final ticket to the 2023 U-20 World Cup in Argentina.

The Flying Eagles coach substituted Salim Figo Lawal for Umeh Emmanuel and Rilwanu Sarki for Sunday Jude in the 57th minute of the second half.

Four minutes later, it paid off as Umeh Emmanuel beautifully set up Ibrahim Beji Mohammed for the Flying Eagles first goal of the match.

In the 79th minute, the coach made a second tactical change by substituting the first goal scorer, Ibrahim Beji Mohammed, for Italian-based Victor Ehuwa Eletu.

The substitute set up Rilwanu Sarki to score the Flying Eagles second goal, just a minute after the end of the ninety minutes of regulation time.

Salim Figo Lawal, Sunday Jude, and Samson Lawal had been uninspiring in the Flying Eagles team for the first 45 minutes of the match.
