The Flying Eagles of Nigeria failed to advance to final stage of the Total Energies AFCON U20 tournament after falling to a narrow defeat against Gambia in the semi-finals.
Gambian star man – Adama Bojang, struck in the 7th minute of the first half to make the difference in the second Semi-final match against Nigeria.
Flying Eagles 70 Percent ball possession with 10 corner kicks in the first half wasn’t enough to stop Gambian from beating Nigerian with a slim victory.

Abdullahi Ahmed missed a golden opportunity to draw Flying Eagles level through a penalty in the last ten minutes of the first half after a VAR review.
Nigeria will play the third place match with Tunisia.
Meanwhile, Senegalese top scorers at the on-going U-20 CAF Africa Cup Of in Egypt, Lamine Camara and Pape Diop were on the score sheets against Tunisia in the first Semi-final match played at Suez Canal Stadium.

Pape Diop gave Senegal the lead early in the 7th minute of the first half while Lamine Camara grabbed a brace
Pape Diop’s wonderful, and long range strike outside the eighteen yard box hit the Tunisian net unhindered for Senegal’s first goal of the match.
Lamine Camara intercepted a back pass meant for Tunisian Goalkeeper – Raed Gazzeh to score the second goal for the Senegalese.
Tunisia missed a good opportunity to reduce the 2-0 deficit in 32nd minutes of the first half with a free kick outside the Senegalese eighteen yard box, but a Tunisian attacker headed wide.
The scoreline stood at 2-0 in favour of Senegal at the end of the first forty-five minute of the match.

In the second half Lamine Camara struck to score his brace, and Senegal’s third goal of the semi-final match after massive bombardment of the Tunisian Goalkeeper by Senegalese attackers
Senegal will now meet Gambia in the final.
