FC Robo captain Ogbuchi Chidimma has fired a bold warning ahead of their highly anticipated NWFL clash with Rivers Angels, declaring that her team isn’t just showing up to play—they’re here to make a statement.
As the league’s new season heats up, this encounter promises to be one for the books, footballrover reports.
FC Robo to tackle Rivers Angels in Port Harcourt
The much-anticipated showdown will take place at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt as FC Robo faces their fierce rivals, the Jewels of Rivers.
The Lagos-based side has had an impressive start to the season, topping the NWFL Group B table following their 2-1 win over Adamawa Queens and 5-1 thrashing of Benue Queens.
And right after their training session yesterday, the captain of the Lagos Landladies, Ogbuchi Chidimma, delivered a fiery statement ahead of the game.
Their captain, Chidimma, is confident that FC Robo will continue their strong run, believing that nothing is impossible with God.
Support from fans key to FC Robo’s success
While the team is determined to secure points, Chidimma also emphasised the importance of fan support, both at home and abroad.
The FC Robo’s captain remains focused on delivering a result, knowing that the backing from loyal supporters will be crucial as they face the Garden City ladies later today.
“We are not just coming to play but to pick a point and make a statement in the country. I’m sure my girls and I will deliver; nothing is impossible with God. We are banking on the support from our loyal fans scattered home and abroad,” the FC Robo captain said as quoted by the team media.
However, Rivers Angels hold the advantage over Coach Emmanuel Osahon’s side, having secured a 2-1 victory in their last meeting in Lagos.
