Manchester United fans are not smiling at all as they blast Marcus Rashford, whom they hold accountable for the poor start to the season after their team suffered a huge setback against Brighton.
The season for Manchester United started off with a shocking 2-1 loss to Brighton at home on Sunday as Erik ten Hag’s leadership struggled to get things going.
One of the central issues was lack of finesse and the shape of several of their attackers, notably Marcus Rashford, who has been unable to play at his peak level for a few months.
The decision by Ten Hag to start the game without a central striker did not turn out well, as Cristiano Ronaldo was introduced early in the second half. Even so, United fell short 2-1.
Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial worked well together in preseason, but it didn’t continue on the first day of the Premier League.
Martial’s ailment did his team no favors either, as the Frenchman was sidelined for the initial contest after developing an issue just days before the match against Brighton.
Rashford played a significant portion of the game but did not contribute anything noteworthy, neither by scoring nor by providing an assist, and his influence on the game was little anyway.

Even after starting the match on the left wing, he was unable to carry out a single dribble or cross. He also did not help his team’s defense, which contributed to his overall lackluster performance.
Rashford failed to display his skills in Ten Hag’s debut game, as he lost possession of the ball ten times all through the contest.
The performance added to the new United manager’s list of attacking concerns, where the team is severely lacking in depth and skill, leaving fans unhappy as most of them took to social media to blast the 24-year-old.
Marcus Rashford could barely beat his man in 1v1 situations yet when he had chances to score , He couldn’t bury them.
I don’t know what to make of his performance, Was better than what we saw through out last season but simply wasn’t enough.

After the loss, Ten Hag made the decision to talk about Marcus Rashford, who had two solid chances that he failed to convert but whose manager had praised his movement.
Rashford can play as a striker if necessary, but the Red Devils manager believes his best position is on the left wing.
