Hyundai, the official sponsor of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and current FIFA partners for the World Cup in Qatar at the end of the year, has opted to cancel their sponsorship agreement with Chelsea.
Because of the UK government’s penalties on Roman Abramovich, the Chelsea’s shirt sleeve sponsor chose to follow Three (3) to officially halt its marketing and communication operations with the Blues.
According to Hyundai:
πβHyundai has become one of the strongest partners in football over the years & the company supports the sport to be a force for good. We are currently assessing the situation with Chelsea FC. In the current circumstances, we have taken the decision to suspend our marketing and communication activities with the Club until further notice.”

Just like Three and Hyundai have done with the Club, asking for logos to be removed, I suggest anyone going to tomorrow’s game doesn’t wear any Club merchandise that has either/both of Three/Hyundai’s logo.

Nike and Trivago have shown their class once again by sticking with Chelsea football club in this trying. Hyundai and Three should never be allowed to be sported on the Prestigious Blue kit of CFC for their Betrayal and abandonment of the club at this critical time. pic.twitter.com/dExkMmC6nK

Hyundai still didn’t suspend their sales in Russia, but they want their logo removed from an English club shirt.
Hypocrisy at its finest.
