Arsenal’s rising star, Ethan Nwaneri, stole the spotlight on Wednesday night with MOTM performance, netting two goals in the Gunners’ emphatic 5-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
The youngster’s brilliance marked his first goals for the senior team and shows his potential in a one-sided affair, footballrover reports.
The game kicked off with Arsenal quickly taking control.

Declan Rice broke the deadlock in the 16th minute, coolly slotting home to put the Gunners ahead.
Just over 20 minutes later, Nwaneri added a second, firing past the Bolton keeper after a well-timed assist from Raheem Sterling, who was equally impressive.
Coming out of the halftime break, Arsenal showed no signs of slowing down.
Nwaneri struck again in the 49th minute, this time capitalising on a perfect pass from Rice, cementing the academy graduate’s brace.
Bolton managed a response in the 53rd minute, with Aaron Collins finding the net, but it was merely a consolation.
Sterling wasn’t done yet, either. He added to his earlier assist by getting on the scoresheet himself in the 64th minute, restoring Arsenal’s three-goal cushion.
Substitute Kai Havertz then sealed the rout with a fifth goal, rounding off an unstoppable display from Mikel Arteta’s men.

The victory comes at a perfect time for Arsenal as they needed to bounce back from recent draws against Atalanta in the Champions League and Manchester City in the Premier League.
With confidence restored, they now turn their attention to an upcoming Premier League clash against newly promoted Leicester City on Saturday.
Elsewhere in the Carabao Cup, Liverpool made light work of West Ham, cruising to a 5-1 win at Anfield.
